La Base de plein air de Bellefeuille is located in PABOS MILLS, south of GASPE COAST, about 50 kilometres away from PERCÉ. The camp sets apart from the others mainly because it is surrounded by two lakes and... the sea! It is a greatly sought after environment by nature lovers, and one of our many unique traits. COMING HERE FROM MONTREAL OR QUEBEC : Take the Jean-Lesage highway (20) and go directly to Rimouski where the highway stops. Then, you need to take road 132 in the east direction and from there, follow the instructions for chandler.

Bellefeuille's History |
The year is 1972. To counter the growing phenomenon of teenage drug abuse, the Chevalier de Colomb from the 3261 council here in Gaspecoast decided without hesitation that it was time to act upon the problem and offer their youth something they could look forward to. After numerous consultations and seminars, their energy was oriented toward the creation of a summer camp aiming at the 7 - 12 years old. The chosen site was l'Anse aux Canards, Pabos Mills. A living dream : two soft water lakes and close to the sea, a forest and easy access to road 132. The Gaspecoasters united for their youth. In the summer of 1974, the first building was brought up and on july 28th, the first campers arrived. 30 kids and around 11 monitors participed in that summer's only session. Our memories from that summer are all filled with happiness and emotions. Joy, friendship, love were very present and already you could feel the birth of the spirit of Bellefeuille. Solid bonds were tied, the project grew up and today, 30 years later, the same Bellefeuille Magic lives inside us. Bellefeuille Contributes in many ways to those who seek adventure and emotions to fill in those needs and much much more.
